Mechanics That Support Roleplay

Why we use them

We adapt a few social mechanics from Vampire: The Masquerade so reputation, favors and public decisions can continue to matter after a scene ends.

They are designed to stay in the background. You do not need to learn them before you start playing.

What the systems track

01

Status

Status reflects your character's standing in Ashkeep. It can come from a title, an office, recognition from others or something accomplished in play. Each Status carries privileges that can matter in a scene.

02

Boons

A Boon is a favor formally owed between two characters. Its weight ranges from Trivial to Life, and the debt remains until it is repaid, forgiven or settled.

The Registry

The Registry is Ashkeep's public memory. It records titles, judgments, oaths, Council decisions and other events the domain is expected to remember.

If something appears there, your character can know it. Everything else must still be discovered through play.

What happens can matter later

The systems remember what a scene changes. A favor can remain owed, public recognition can change how the domain treats a character, and a decision can return weeks later with consequences.

They do not decide the story. They preserve what players create.
