The Village
Social, grounded roleplay. A trade, a shop, a table at the tavern, neighbours who know your name. For players who love slice-of-life scenes and relationships that grow naturally.

Recruitment is open.
A village full of lives, a castle full of ambitions, and your character somewhere between the two.
ScrollA village at the foot of a castle, a Court above it, and between the two enough mysteries, intrigues and ordinary lives that whoever your character is, there is a place for them here.
Village or Court, no one assigns you a side. The best stories often live between the two.
Social, grounded roleplay. A trade, a shop, a table at the tavern, neighbours who know your name. For players who love slice-of-life scenes and relationships that grow naturally.
Intrigue. Titles to win, alliances to weave, secrets to keep or to sell. For players who love politics, manipulation and characters who play for high stakes.
We love taking our time with a scene, writing characters with real depth, and letting a conversation breathe. If you enjoy writing and reading your partners, you will feel at home.
You arrive with your own origins, your own story, your own rules, and we give you a world to plant them in. No imposed backstory, no rewriting who your character is.
Your character's ambitions, friendships and enemies drive the story. Around them, clan storytellers seed the world with mysteries to investigate and plots to pick up, so there is always a thread to pull.
We want to bring together players who communicate, look out for each other, and make the game enjoyable for everyone. A place where you feel safe, welcome and listened to, from your very first scene.
Three simple mechanics, shared by everyone.
Your character's public reputation: what people have seen you do, who stands behind your name. It shapes how Ashkeep receives you.
A favour formally owed from one character to another, until it is repaid, forgiven or settled. Boons tie characters together and give intrigue something real to bite on.
Ashkeep's shared memory, where boons, promises and judgments are written down. Anyone can look up what was owed or decided.
A page for each character: name, current status and its effects, and the history of everything they have done. Everything Ashkeep knows about a character, in one place.
The clan's shared records: boons, promises and judgments, visible to everyone. No bookkeeping in your head, no lost promises: if it matters, it is written down.

Status Changed
Cassian Thorne has been declared and has won the status Vulgar, following an incident at open court.
Ashkeep was founded by a small core of players who have been roleplaying together for a while, and who wanted to build the clan they were always looking for.
The gates are now open.
Come say hello, ask your questions, get a feel for the clan.
Create their page on the webapp when you are ready.
Jump into your first scenes, in the village or at the Court.
No. What we are looking for is a shared vision: players who enjoy the same way of roleplaying, with deep character development, scenes that take their time and stories built together. If that is how you like to play, experience is a detail.
We feel no need to declare ourselves one. Some forces in Ashkeep will pull toward antagonism, others away from it, and the result will be the fruit of everyone's roleplay. The antagonism comes out of what we do, not out of what we advertise.
No. The village is a full experience on its own, and some characters will never set foot in the Court. Play the life you want; the intrigue will find you only if you let it.
As much as you want to give. There are no quotas and no mandatory events: your character lives at your own pace.
Of course. Your lore is yours: bring the character you want to play. And if you would rather build a character made for Ashkeep, come discuss your concept with us, we love that too.
